University of Michigan School of Dance

A.F. Smith Electric was “charged” with bringing in a new electrical feeder from the existing School of Music. We also provided and wired the electrical distribution system for the mechanical systems, lighting systems, and other electrical needs. Additionally, we installed an elaborate general lighting and lighting control system, performance lighting system, fire alarm system, access control system and sound system for the facility. This was a very challenging project due in part to the high-end and custom features it incorporated. It also demanded immense coordination between all of the trades involved. We are proud of the finished product we provided for the University and the talented students who will make use of it!
